Frank Grillo has wrapped filming on Man of Tomorrow and sounds fired up about his time in James Gunn’s DCU.
The Rick Flag Sr. actor posted a pair of Instagram Stories from the set, saying his work on the Superman follow-up is done and making it clear he had a good experience.

Frank Grillo Wraps Man of Tomorrow
In one Instagram Story, Grillo wrote, “Nothing but love. Wrapped!!” while tagging James Gunn.
In another, he added, “Always sad and happy when a special one ends for me. But I leave with love and gratitude deep in my soul,” tagging Gunn, producer Lars Winther, the Superman account, and DC.
Grillo also said in the video that it was his last day on Man of Tomorrow for James Gunn, adding, “I love love” Gunn and everyone involved.
He called his time in the DC universe “like nothing else” and said, “I think the movie’s going to be f—ing dynamite.”
“I’ve been here now in this DC universe for quite some time,” he said. “It’s like nothing else. And, I am sad to go, but I’m happy to go. I had a great time. I think the movie’s going to be f-cking dynamite, and everybody is great. So more to come.”

Grillo Praises James Gunn And David Corenswet
Grillo followed up with another clip confirming, “It’s a wrap on Rick Flag and Superman. Man of Tomorrow.”
He said the movie was “extraordinarily fun” and joked that he learned “James Gunn is a pretty good director.”
Grillo also praised David Corenswet, saying, “David is Superman. He is Superman. And he’s that wholesome.”

Frank Grillo Says Nicholas Hoult Should Be James Bond
Grillo also gave a shoutout to Nicholas Hoult, who plays Lex Luthor in Gunn’s DCU.
The actor told fans to “pay attention,” making it clear he thinks Hoult has what it takes to play 007.
“If Nicholas Hoult isn’t cast as James Bond, they made a great error,” said Grillo.

Man of Tomorrow Is Coming
Grillo closed out the post by saying, “Superman: Man of Tomorrow is coming.”
Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr. has already been part of Creature Commandos and Peacemaker, and now his role continues in Gunn’s Superman side of the DCU. Based on his comments, he sounds more than happy with how things went on set.
