Earlier saw the bad news that Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will not be directing the DCEU Flashpoint movie, but the good news is that the Flashpoint script is complete.
A reporter for Variety confirms Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are no longer attached to direct The Flash movie starring Ezra Miller, but he adds in a tweet that the Flashpoint script was turned in yesterday to WB.
No director has been announced as of yet, but with the script set to go, hopefully that means a director will be on board, and Flashpoint can move into production.
Rumored to direct Flashpoint is Robert Zemeckis of Back to the Future, Forest Gump, Romancing the Stone and Polar Express fame.
Due to the DC Comics comic book storyline, fans are also speculating that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan will be appearing as the Thomas Wayne Batman and the Martha Wayne Joker, respectively.
With Gal Gadot looking likely to appear, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman could possibly be featured in Flashpoint, as Wonder Woman and Aquaman are at war in the comic book storyline.
Maybe we’ll even see Henry Cavill drop a hundred pounds and show up as Subject One?
