Following Seth Grahame-Smith parting The Flash movie over reported creative differences, now Warner Bros. has brought on newcomer Rick Famuyiwa to helm the Ezra Miller speedster flick.
The info comes from Deadline, which notes that WB feels Rick Famuyiwa’s vision will resonate better with younger viewers.
Rick Famuyiwa recently directed the Sundance pic Dope, about a young geek trying to survive in a tough Los Angeles neighborhood, and Confirmation, the Anita Hill-Clarence Thomas HBO drama.
It’s noted WB is still using Seth Grahame-Smith’s version of The Flash script which is based on a treatment by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
The Flash has a March 16, 2018 release.
Ezra Miller recently had a cameo in Batman Vs. Superman and will be featured in Justice League and WB’s Fantastic Beasts.
