Doctor Strange Passes $600 Million At The Box Office

Doctor Strange continues its magical performance at the box office.

The Scott Derrickson-directed Marvel movie starring Benedict Cumberbatch currently has a worldwide gross of $615,993,475.

Doctor Strange‘s U.S. gross is $205,093,475 with its foreign box office currently at $410,900,000.

Doctor Strange is also currently the tenth best performing Marvel movie in the U.S. and now trails Thor: The Dark World, which it should pass this week.

The numbers also give Doctor Strange the 28th best comic book movie overall having passed the likes of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Superman Returns, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman Forever, Thor, Ant-Man, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Captain America: The First Avenger, Batman Returns, X-Men, X-Men: Apocalypse, The Wolverine and more.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Doctor Strange can next be seen in The Avengers: Infnity War, which has a May 4, 2019 release.

Synopsis:

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilising a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
