Two DC projects are currently filming with the Joker 2 movie which shows off Joaquin Phoenix, and The Batman spinoff The Penguin starring Colin Farrell.

Joker 2 First Look Reveals Joaquin Phoenix Aftermath

Joker 2 shows off Joaquin Phoenix

Joaquin Phoenix was spotted in Los Angeles where Joker: Folie a Deux is filming revealing the actor involved in some sort of car chase scene which appears to show other versions of the Joker involved.

It could be possible this is some sort of hallucination that Arthur Fleck is going through or maybe it follows the end of the last movie where Arthur inspired people to riot as the character and some of them chase after Fleck.

Three actors are shown including Phoenix, a taller actor sporting the red suit that the Daily Mail thinks might be 6′ 2″ British actor Harry Lawtey and the third actor is unknown.

Lady Gaga is also starring in the movie said to be playing Harley Quinn but no set pics or video of Lada Gaga have hit the net as of yet.

Joker: Folie a Deux gets released on October 4, 2024 directed by Todd Phillips.

Colin Farrell Penguin in The Batman

The Penguin shows off Colin Farrell

Colin Farrell returns as The Penguin from The Batman as filming on the spinoff takes place in New York City.

The actor can be seen wearing the prosthetics to play Oswald Cobblepot sporting a purple blazer, a white dress shirt, and black pants (via the Daily Mail).

Rumors also offer Robert Pattinson will be appearing in the series as the actor has been said to be spotted recently in NYC as well.

Recent casting news sees Clancy Brown cast as mob boss Salvatore Maroni, the powerful mob boss most famous for disfiguring Harvey Dent who becomes the Batman villain Two-Face.

The eight-episode series centers around Penguin’s rise to power that fills the vacuum in Gotham City created after Falcone was killed in The Batman at the hands of The Riddler.

“Matt’s idea originally was to have the Penguin show begin about a week after the end of the Batman film,” said Farrell in a recent interview. “And then if it works, if the trajectory is entertaining enough and the audience goes for it, and we do our jobs right… have Penguin feature in the second film and pick up where the HBO show will end. So I don’t know how much he’ll be in it.”

The Penguin will be released on the HBO Max streaming service with the cast also including Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Deirdre O’Connell.
