Daredevil: Born Again finally comes through with its season finale in a big way! Now just imagine if all the previous eight episodes were as good! Wow.
The first eight episodes were iffy at best—likely a mix of footage from before and after the decision to retool the show. Honestly, Kevin Feige would’ve been better off scrapping everything and starting fresh, but with Bob Iger slashing Marvel’s budget and scaling back Disney+ content, they probably didn’t have the option—or the money—to do that.

The good news? The season finale is so darn good that it’ll likely carry over into Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, which will be 100% under the new creative team behind the retooling. The finale sets up a lot for what’s next—even hinting at the possible return of The Defenders?! Yep, Daredevil’s going to need an army to take down Kingpin. And while it’s always great to see Frank Castle back as The Punisher, two vigilantes won’t cut it.
Rumors are already swirling about Krysten Ritter returning as Jessica Jones. I’m hoping they bring back Mike Colter as Luke Cage too. As for Finn Jones, he’s been vocal about wanting to return as Iron Fist—and honestly, I wouldn’t mind it. Just give the guy enough time to train this time around.

So, about that season finale—it was action-packed and brutal—those fight scenes? Wow! And the Kingpin is back, baby! No tears this time, and seriously, let’s never see him cry again.
I also liked how the episode drove home that Daredevil is the real hero. He had the chance to take a life, but just like DD did with Kingpin, Daredevil chose to save one instead. That’s what sets him apart from The Punisher.
And come on—tell me it wasn’t great seeing Karen back?! Just wait until Foggy shows up! Wait… whaaat?!
Update: I also took that one final scene not to be Daredevil’s army (at least I hope not! lol!).

The Verdict
The MCU’s been on life support lately, and with Daredevil: Born Again looking like another colossal misfire, it felt like Marvel was about to be permanently put to sleep. But this season finale? It keeps the MCU alive. Daredevil truly rises—and is born again. Let’s hope it sticks. Great episode. 9/10.
