We have yet to get a look at the bad guy in Captain America: Civil War (or at least one of them), but in the latest issue of Total Film magazine, Daniel Bruhl offers the movie holds a lot of secrets. One of those secrets happens to be the role Daniel Bruhl is playing, which is yet to be confirmed, but the sure money is on Daniel Bruhl playing Baron Zemo.

“Not that much,” Bruhl respond when asked what he can say about Captain America: Civil War. “I was really told not to because there are so many secrets in the film. And also my character’s quite mysterious, so I’m really scared to say too much. The things I’ve mentioned in interviews before were already too much – and I thought it was nothing!”

The article notes Bruhl was in part cast as the mystery villain due to his German accent.

“Yes, but what I like is it’s not a stereotype,” Bruhl offered about playing the Civil War bad guy. “It’s not a guy who’s mean and sinister, but he’s actually very clever – a very smart guy who does everything out of a very understandable reason and motivation.”

Bruhl does offer up a tidbit or two about the villain in the movie, but again nothing specific.

“Some of the things that happen in the film, and why they happen, are because of him. He is orchestrating things that happen throughout the film. I think that’s something I can say, goddam it!”

“Captain America: Civil War” has  a May 6, 2016 release date directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp, William Hurt, Martin Freeman and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.
