It’s now claimed that Dafne Keen might indeed be appearing in Deadpool 3, which follows her debut 7 years ago in Logan.
The rumors come again from the CanWeGetSomeToast Twitter account who first claimed back in August that Dafne Keen wasn’t going to be in the movie, but now the account has reversed course offering Dafne Keen was in talks prior to the start of the actors and writers strike.
“Sources have newly confirmed that Marvel went into negotiations with Dafne Keen right before the strikes started to bring her back as a grown up Laura Kinney/#X23 in #Deadpool3,” states the tweet.
The tweet continues, “They anticipated the strikes and are hoping schedules line up once the studios pay actors and writers fairly. Which lines up with Shawn Levy saying Deadpool 3 was halfway through filming. It’s not a significant role, expect it more to be a cameo.”
Back in August, the account tweeted, “Dafne Keen’s Laura Kinney/X-23/Wolverine will sadly NOT be appearing in #Deadpool3. It makes sense since most of the film takes place during the original X-Men trilogy. She isn’t born yet.”

Lots of rumors surround Deadpool 3
A similar account thought to be run by the same person or group of people also shot down rumors about Taylor Swift appearing as Dazzler and Taron Egerton as Wolverine, but recently saw rumors offer a bunch of Wolverine Variants will be appearing in Deadpool 3, said to include Karl Urban, so who knows what is exactly going to happen and just maybe Dafne Keen will appear as X-23.
Following Logan, Dafne Keen went on to star in HBO’s His Dark Materials, and she is starring in the Disney+ Star Wars series, The Acolyte.
The end of Logan (via Wiki) sees Hugh Jackman as Logan near death, and Logan tells Laura not to become the weapon that she was made to be, and after she tearfully acknowledges him as her father, Logan dies peacefully in Laura’s arms. She and the children bury Logan, and before they depart, Laura tilts the cross on his grave marker to create an X, honoring him as the last of the X-Men.
Deadpool 3 is said to follow Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson traveling the Marvel Fox Multiverse, so that is how Dafne Keen could return.
The flick gets released on May 3, 2024 directed by Shawn Levy.
