Woody Harrelson Cast As War of the Planet of the Apes Villain

Woody Harrelson has been cast as the human villain for War of the Planet of the Apes, the third movie in the new franchise.

Details are slim, but THR reports Harrelson will play a character called The Colonel.

Matt Reeves is returning for War of the Planet of the Apes, which has a July 14, 2017 release. Plot details are also unknown, but it’s been said War will continue the story of Ceasar from the previous two films.

Gabriel Chavarria has also said to be cast in a small role.

Woody Harrelson is currently starring in LBJ, The Hunger Games and was featured on the first season of HBO’s hits series True Detective.
