From the studio that brought you the X-Men and Fanastic Four movies is coming a Stan Lee “period action-adventure movie.”
THR reports Fox has purchased the rights to Stan Lee’s life with the goal being to develop the movie with the tone of a James Bond flick or Kingsman: The Secret Service.
While the article doesn’t state it, it sounds more or less like an exaggerated fictional embellished portrayal of Stan Lee’s life. What exactly that means is anybody’s guess.
The article does state the movie will not be a straight-up biography, “but rather an adventure with Lee as the main character.”
Stan Lee, and Gil Champion of Lee’s POW Entertainment, are on board as executive producers, so we do see Stan Lee is involved.
Additional producers include Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, the producers behind Twilight, The Maze Runner and the upcoming Power Rangers movie.
The movie could span Stan Lee’s life from the time he was 17 when he first entered the world of comic book publishing, to his 40s creating Fantastic Four, Spider-Man and Marvel, to his 70s when he moved to Hollywood to get the characters adapted to the big and small screens.
It is noted no writer is on board so details can change.
