With news about the Man of Steel spearheading a DC shared movie universe from producer Charles Roven as well as David Goyer hinting about it, our DC Entertainment source has provided us with a few more details.
Warner Bros., Legendary and everybody involved are incredibly happy with the Man of Steel.
On current form, a DC Cinematic Universe stemming from Man of Steel is a certainty.
Regarding the Charlie Hunnam Flash concept art, our source says they are just using his likeness because no actors will be cast until a full production team is on board.
Our source has also provided us the following short list of Justice League movie directors where we see Ben Affleck is not only listed again -- but we are also told is now the studio's top choice. Previously, we were also told Zack Snyder was being offered the job.
• Zack Snyder (Man of Steel, 300, Watchmen)
• David Fincher (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Social Network, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button)
• Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, Valhalla Rising, Bronson)
• Ben Affleck (Argo, The Town, Gone Baby Gone)
• Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, The Fighter, The Wrestler)
Our source says Darren Aronofsky's involvement in the Justice League movie is questionable, as he is touted as the favorite for the Batman reboot, as we were previously told.
Regarding Christopher Nolan's involvement in the Justice League movie, nothing has changed since the last update of Warner Bros. wanting him to overview the project in a similar capacity to Man of Steel.
Update: Our source says the target date for the Justice League movie is July 2016, which the source told us previously as well.
