Ben Affleck recently announced he will not be directing the Batman movie, but will remain on as the star.
A second report futher stated that both Ben Affleck and Warner Bros. are also unhappy with the Batman movie script.
Now a third report is stating the Batman movie script could get rewritten.
In Deadline's perspective on the Ben Affleck Batman directorial break-up, it's reported that in addition to War for the Planet of the Apes' Matt Reeves, other major filmmakers and Captain Fantastic helmer Matt Ross are being eyed to direct Batman.
It's further said the development of Ben Affleck stepping down as director on Batman "has been in the wind for weeks."
Regarding the Batman script rewrite, the report mentions: "Affleck, who most recently helmed Live by Night, wrote the script with Geoff Johns, though there is room for a rewrite."
