Itâs reported Connie Nielsen has nabbed the role of Wonder Womanâs mom.
Variety reports Nielsen has been cast as Hippolyta, the queen of the Amazons and mother of Princess Diana, aka Wonder Woman.
It was previously said that Robin Wright, who was already cast in the movie, might get the role, but now itâs said that didnât happen, and Robin Wright is playing Wonder Womanâs aunt (possibly Antiope).
Connie Nielsen is known for Gladiator, The Devilâs Advocate, The Good Wife and The Following.
Wonder Woman has a June 23, 2017 release directed by Patty Jenkins starring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine.
