With there having been talk about the character almost appearing in Iron Fist Season 2, now Daredevil stuntman Chris Brewster lets it be known he wants to play the MCU Moon Knight.
Brewster, who has also done the fight choreography and scenes for Captain America, Black Panther, Ant-Man and Wasp, Defenders, Agents of SHIELD and lots more, filled in the Marvel News Desk podcast the following:
“Moon Knight,” Brewster responded. “Again, I feel like the physical character to most superheroes is very surface layer. What I thoroughly enjoy about Daredevil is the depth of his character and the depth of his character translates within his movement. You know, he’s just your typical ‘I’m a hero so as soon as a bad guy comes at me I hit him once and I’m done!'”
While Daredevil might be just your typical hero, Chris Brewster likes the fact that Moon Knight is anything but.
“Daredevil definitely walks that line of going too far on a regular basis and that is a really interesting element and it makes it a lot of fun to choreograph,” he added. “Sometimes you might hit somebody once and knock them out but other times once the guy’s no longer a threat he might just keep going because he enjoys hurting the bad people, and Moon Knight is one of the very few characters who, I think, reaches the same depth of psychosis.”
Moon Knight
Regarding talk of Moon Knight for Iron Fist Season 2, a writer on the series previously let it be known the characters has been discussed.
“Moon Knight came up many times in the writers room as we discussed Typhoid Mary,” M. Raven Metzner said.
If Moon Knight does make his way into the MCU, what remains to be seen is whether the character will be a part of Marvel TV (the Daredevil universe) or Marvel Studios and the movies. Kevin Feige previously responded “yes” when asked if there was potential for Marc Spector to appear in the MCU.
That begs the question, are the Marvel movies too “popcorn” for a character like Moon Knight? Maybe Netflix would be a better fit as Marvel TV tends to go a bit more darker, serious and closer to the comics than what Kevin Feige does with his MCU films.
