Charlie Heaton Confirmed For X-Men: New Mutants Movie

It’s confirmed that Stranger Things actor Charlie Heaton has a role in the X-Men New Mutants movie.

It was previouisly reported that Charlie Heaton was in talks to play the mutant Cannonball.

The info comes from a trainer that posted a pic on Instagram (see below).

Cannonball is a mutant who propels himself into the air and is invulnerable while doing so.

Charlie Heaton joins a cast on New Mutants that includes Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane, a girl struggling to reconcile her religious beliefs with her power to turn into a wolf; Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, a girl who has learned sorceryand uses teleportation discs to travel, and Henry Zaga will play Roberto da Costa, a.k.a Sunspot, a Brazilian mutant with the ability to manipulate solar energy. 

X-Men: New Mutants will also feature Danielle Moonstar and the alien Warlock.

X-Men: New Mutants is due to film this Summer for its April 13, 2018 release and is described as: These new mutants find themselves held in a secret facility against their will and must battle the dangers of their powers, as well as the sins of their pasts.
