International Assassins Arc confirmed
The Assassins Arc adapts the sixth arc of the Public Safety Saga from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga. MAPPA returns to handle animation following the success of the first season and the recent theatrical release of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc.
The arc significantly raises the stakes, bringing assassins from around the world into the story as they target Denji, placing Chainsaw Man at the center of a deadly global conflict.

Chainsaw Man anime continues after financial success
The first season of Chainsaw Man premiered last fall and ran for a total of 12 episodes. MAPPA CEO Manabu Otsuka previously said the anime was a complete financial success.
The series stood out for its cinematic animation style and music choices. Kenshi Yonezu performed the opening theme song “KICK BACK,” while each episode featured a different ending theme performed by a different artist.
Momentum continued earlier this month with the digital release of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, following its theatrical debut.
