Buffalo Bills fans were treated to a big surprise this past Sunday, as Marvel star Anthony Mackie was in attendance, showing support for America’s true team, the red, white, and blue.
Mackie, who is starring as Captain America in Marvel’s upcoming Captain America: Brave New World and who was born in New Orleans, the home of this year’s Super Bowl 59, made a rare public appearance alongside former Buffalo Bills wide receiver and Hall of Famer Andre Reed this past Sunday in Orchard Park, NY.
The Buffalo Bills’ social media accounts and Mackie both posted pictures, with the caption: “Anthony Mackie is rolling with Bills Mafia today!” They included the hashtags #GoBills and #AZvsBUF.
Andre Reed, who played in four consecutive Super Bowls, helped kick off the season by getting the 78,000 Bills Mafia fans hyped for the game against the Arizona Cardinals (watch below), in which the Bills made a big comeback to win, led by a huge performance from quarterback Josh Allen.
Josh Allen is also no stranger to the MCU, as he is currently dating Hailee Steinfeld, who starred as Kate Bishop in Marvel’s Hawkeye series on Disney+.
Tonight, for Thursday Night NFL football, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills face off against their nemesis, the Miami Dolphins, led by Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill.
Go Bills!
Captain America: Brave New World opens February 14, 2025 and also stars Harrison Ford.
