Captain Britain TV Series Update: Sounds Like Just A Pitch

Earlier saw word that a Captain Britain TV series is in development at Marvel; however, now is sounds as if it’s more of an idea that is going to be pitched to Marvel than a sure bet.

Poster artist Ciara McAvoy tweeted away that a Captain Britain TV series is underway and that a sizzle reel is being created.

Now it’s learned that sizzle reel is being used to pitch a Captain Britain TV series to Marvel.

A producer on the project, Chris Lark, tweeted out some clarifications.

“Ladies & Gentlemen I’m here to confirm that I and my co-prod Eleni Larchanidou are working on a Highlight Reel for a TV series based on the Marvel Comics character #CaptainBritain for 2017. Right now we are in very early stages of development for this idea and working on things like the budget for this Reel to take to Marvel for 2017 with hopes of them helping us with the series. Thank you so much for your interest in #CaptainBritain and expect more.”

As we see from the above, the Captain Britain TV series is just an idea as of right now and one hoping for interest from Marvel.

Obviously, fingers crossed, that Marvel likes what they see and decides to pick up the series to order.

More news on the potential Captain Britain TV series is expected later this year or in 2017.
