Captain America: Civil War has passed $700 million at the box office, which has also led to Disney topping $1 billion in sales at the U.S. box office in only 128 days, the fastest ever.
Currently, Captain America: Civil War has a $705.231 worldwide gross, with $192.431 million coming from the U.S. and $512.8 from international receipts.
For those keeping track regarding comparisons to Batman Vs. Superman, BVS bested Captain America: Civil War on their first Monday screenings: Batman Vs. Superman made $15.040 million to Civil War‘s $13.291 million, though BVS did have the Easter Monday holiday.
In its first four days, Captain America: Civil War has brought in $192,431,018 domestically, while Batman Vs. Superman saw $181,047,843 million, a 6% difference.
Captain America: Civil War also sits at 90% with critics at Rotten Tomatoes and 92% with fans.
Regarding Disney topping a billion, in addition to Civil War, the Zootopia movie and Jon Farvreau’s Jungle Book also added to the mix. The previous fastest studio to a billion at the box office was last year with Universal who did it in 165 days, which Disney has blown away this year.
