Brie Larson shows off her “space buns” on social media as the Captain Marvel actress posted images on Instagram and Twitter on Monday.
“Are space buns my new everyday look?” Larson tweeted which has been liked over 65.6k times with over 3.2k retweets and 1500 comments on Twitter.
The same post on Instagram has almost 800k likes.
We think the space buns that Brie Larson is referring to is her similar hairstyle to that of Princess Leia, as Larson has previously said she wants to be in Star Wars and even teased herself as a Jedi. More on that below.
What other space buns could Brie Larson be referring to?

Brie Larson wants to be in Star Wars
Back in July of 2020, Brie Larson also let it be known that she tried out for both Star Wars and Terminator.
“I actually was thinking about the Terminator reboot today because I got a flat tire and I was like, ‘Oh the last time I got a flat tire was when I was driving into my audition for Terminator. Got a flat tire at the audition, and then didn’t get the job,’” Larson said in a YouTube video.
Regarding Star Wars, she remarked to a friend she was chatting with in the video that told her they auditioned for the Solo movie, which saw Larson confirm she auditioned for Star Wars as well: “I auditioned for Star Wars, too.”
It’s unknown what role she auditioned for in Star Wars, but it’s guessed to be either for Rey in the Disney Star Wars Trilogy, Felicity Jones’ role in Rogue One, or Emilia Clarke’s in Solo. For Terminator, it’s thought to be Emilia Clarke’s role in Terminator Genysis.
Kevin Feige happens to be producing a new Star Wars movie, with some fans thinking Feige might cast Brie Larson in a role.

Brie Larson, Ms. Marvel and Captain Marvel 2
Regarding Marvel, Brie Larson was recently featured in that Ms. Marvel post-credit scene where she is confirmed to have switched places with Kamala Khan which is leading into Captain Marvel 2, The Marvels.
Apparently, Kamala found one-half of the Nega Bands and Carol Danvers the other – somewhere in deep space – and the two switched, so Kamala Khan seems to be halfway across the galaxy or further.
Maybe we’ll find out more at next month’s Disney D23 Expo as Marvel Studios is confirmed to have a big presence which might also include Deadpool 3 and Fantastic Four.
The Marvels gets released on November 10, 2023 directed by Nia DaCosta, and also stars Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, with Zawe Ashton said to be playing the villain.
