Even though Matthew Vaughn has been rumored to direct the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII movie in 2015, how about Brad Bird?
Brad Bird already has a relationship with Disney with The Incredibles and Ratatouille, and he did direct the 2011 action flick starring Tom Cruise, Mission Impossible: Ghost Prototcol. He was also a consultant on Pixarâs Toy Story, worked on Up as well as a long stint on The Simpsons.
Regardless what your feelings are about a majority of Birdâs resume being animated, at least the guy can tell a good story.
And interestingly enough, Brad Bird was in a meeting for a movie with Damon Lindelof when the Star Wars new came down, with Lindelof recently letting his Star Wars opinions be known. However, there was an apparent rumor that the duo were, indeed, on a new Star Wars, which has seemingly been shot down.
