Way back in 2015 first saw word of the Lebron James Space Jam 2, and now it’s revealed the flick will be produced by Black Panther director Ryan Coogler.
Lebron James announced the news through his Spring Hill Entertainment handle on Twitter.

The image reveals Space Jam 2 will feature Bugs Bunny, Lebron James, Malcolm D. Lee as the director, with Ryan Coogler producing.
It’s also known that Space Jam 2 will start filming next year during the NBA off season.
“LeBron James has one of the most powerful, well-known brands in the world and we are excited to be in business with him and his partner, Maverick Carter, and Spring Hill Entertainment,” WB CEO Kevin Tsujihara said in a statement three years ago when WB signed James. “The combination of LeBron’s global media presence and Warner Bros.’ unmatched production and distribution expertise is a big win for fans everywhere.”
The original animated movie version premiered back in 1996 starring Michael Jordan, Bill Murray, other NBA players and co-starred the Looney Tune characters, and made $230 million worldwide at the box office.
Ryan Coogler recently directed Black Panther for Marvel Studios which made over $1.34 billion at the box office, with Disney currently campaigning for the movie to get nominated for the Oscars.
LeBron James plays for the LA Lakers this year, as he was recently traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
