Black Panther is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s biggest movies yet, and now the film’s official running time has been revealed.
According to multiple listings, director Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther clocks in at 134 minutes, or 2 hours and 14 minutes, making it one of the longer solo films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
One Of Marvel’s Longest Solo Movies
The 134-minute runtime puts Black Panther ahead of movies like Doctor Strange (115 minutes) and Ant-Man (117 minutes), while coming in just under ensemble films such as Captain America: Civil War.
The longer runtime should give Marvel plenty of room to explore Wakanda, its culture, and the supporting cast surrounding Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa.
Marvel’s Next Big Release
Black Panther follows T’Challa as he returns to Wakanda after the events of Captain America: Civil War to take his place as king. When a powerful enemy emerges, T’Challa finds both his leadership and his role as Black Panther put to the test.
The film stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Daniel Kaluuya, Martin Freeman, Andy Serkis, Forest Whitaker, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther hits theaters on February 16, 2018.
