According to US Weekly, Affleck actually re-wrote some of the script and dialogue while on the set of Dawn of Justice.

The Oscar-winning screenwriter “would go into wardrobe and get all suited up for the day in his Batman suit,” explains the insider of the action flick. “Then he would sit around reworking the script. Ben wasn’t thrilled with it and would find himself on multiple occasions fixing it the day of.”

Regarding the overall script, it’s speculated that David Goyer wrote more of a Man of Steel sequel and then Chris Terrio was brought on board, which included rewriting Lex Luthor to suit Jesse Eisenberg. It’s possible Affleck may have rewritten whatever source they used to add Batman to the Goyer script.

US Weekly also says Affleck is “excited to do a Batman film” and that he is “fascinated by the character.”bvsb1
