The Avengers Phase One 10-Disc Briefcase Gets Pulled Due To Lawsuit

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:2492:]]The Avengers Blu-Ray goes on sale September 25th and one deluxe edition was supposed to come packaged with the briefcase from the movie holding a cosmic cube.

However, Disney never got permission from the German maker of the actual briefcase, with the luggage company, Rimowafiling a trademark lawsuit.

While Disney did have permission for the movie, they did not for the plastic Blu-Ray edition.

Amazon has pulled the “Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One Avengers Assembled 10-Disc Collectors Set” from their pre-orders with a notice the product is under review.

Please be advised this item is currently under review and is not available to pre-order.

Disney/Buena Vista has also pulled the briefcase image from their site and replaced it with a new one.

Depending how ticked off Rimowa might be, maybe we’ll still get the briefcase if Disney floats over enough cash.

The Avengers movie assembles May 4th, 2012 and is directed by Joss Whedon, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
