A big rumor hits the net that it’s all connected as Avengers: Doomsday is claimed to reveal the origin universe for Channing Tatum’s Gambit.
Of course, Channing Tatum appeared in Deadpool & Wolverine as part of the resistance group. However, the flick doesn’t say where each character is from.
Avengers: Doomsday Gambit leak
According to QuidVacuo, Channing Tatum’s Gambit is from the same universe featured in The Marvel‘s post-credit scene where Monica Rambeau ends up with Kelsey Grammer’s Beast and meets her alternate universe mother, Maria Rambeau.
So, apparently, that means Channing Tatum’s Gambit is from the Fox Marvel X-Men universe. That is, unless they make that version of Beast from a different universe (maybe Dark Beast?!).
X-Men are back for Avengers: Doomsday
Both Channing Tatum and Kelsey Grammer are confirmed to be returning in Avengers: Doomsday, along with the original X-Men cast of Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden.
While Teyonah Parris wasn’t officially announced for Avengers: Doomsday, she is listed as part of the rumored greater 60-character cast. Lashana Lynch is also rumored to return as Maria Rambeau. Famke Janssen is also said to be back as Jean Grey Phoenix.

Avengers: Doomsday now gets released December 18, 2026. The Russo brothers return to direct. Starring includes Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.
