Update: It looks as if Zoe Saldana may have accidently released the title for Avengers 4!
When Avengers 3 and Avengers 4 were first announced, Marvel Studios had given both movies the title “The Avengers: Infinity War,” with Part 1 and Part 2.
However, Marvel then made the decision to have Avengers 4 untitled, thought possibly due to the poor reception of the Hobbit movies, but it has since been said Avengers 4 will be more of a standalone film, and most recently saw it learned that Avengers 4 will not film at the same time as Infinity War, but later this year.
Now it’s further learned that the official title for Avengers 4 is to be considered a spoiler.
“Yeah, for sure,” Feige replied when asked if the title for Avengers 4 is a spoiler.
Feige also further confirmed Avengers 4 is not a direct sequel to The Avengers: Infinity War.
“They’re two very different movies. That’s all I’ll say,” Feige said.
The notion The Avengers: Infinity War and the untitled Avengers 4 movies are “two very different movies” is pretty interesting. Feige also recently said the MCU will be very different following Avengers 4. What exactly goes down in Avengers 4 to make the MCU so different? If Avengers 4 does feature Thanos killing off Avengers, that seems more or less a straight-up sequel to Avengers: Infinity War, but Feige hints that’s not the case.
Could it be possible that Avengers 4 goes off in a different direction altogether?
I’m wondering if following Thor: Ragnarok, if Avengers 4 could be some sort of adaptation of “World War Hulk,” which sees the Hulk return to Earth after being on Planet Hulk fighting against the Avengers and Earth heroes. Since Marvel can’t do a standalone Hulk movie due to Universal owning the distribution rights, perhaps the title for Avengers 4 is: World War Avengers!
Would be wild!
