Asa Butterfield Big Justice League Fan; Wants To Be In DCEU

Asa Butterfield, known for Ender’s Game and Hugo, was once said to be up for the role of Marvel’s new Spider-Man, which ended up going to Tom Holland.

That’s okay with Asa Butterfield as he reveals he’s more of a DC fan.

“DC honestly – just from the comics and the cartoon series. I like the grittiness of DC,” Butterfield tells Flickering Myth.

So who could Asa Butterfield play in the DCEU? Robin? Nightwing? Or maybe a villain role with Riddler?

“Don’t jinx it! I’m maybe a bit too tall for Robin and about the same height as Ben Affleck but maybe someone who’s taller and sleek and a little sneaky!” Butterfield said. “I’m a big fan and I’m really excited to see Justice League!”

Asa Butterfield currently stars in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, which gets released on Friday.
