Now Arrow executive producer Wendy Mericle has responded to the speculation of Felicity becoming Oracle by stating “It’s off the table.”
“That’s something we definitely talked about [doing] with Felicity in the beginning…. But yeah, it will not be Oracle, sadly,” Mericle told TVLine. “People have to tune in to see what happens.”
In the comics, Oracle is Barbara Gordon – Batgirl – who gets paralyzed during an encounter with the Joker and becomes various characters go-to tech person.
“Arrow” returns Wednesday, Janaury 20th at 8pm ET starring Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Katie Cassidy, Paul Blackthorne and John Barrowman.
