Last week saw Amy Adams state she was done with Superman and the DCEU, however now she backtracks on her statements and could possibly return as Lois Lane.
The latest sees Amy Adams offering an update while at a press junket for the Vice movie where she said the DCEU situation is not a definite thing just yet.
“You know what’s funny? I actually don’t know,” Adams responded to questioning if she is done with Lois Lane. “I haven’t had any official conversation with anybody.”
Last week as part of Variety’s Actors on Actors interview series, Adams told Nicole Kidman, “I think I’m out of the DC Universe now,” but again Adams says it isn’t official.
“I was just talking with Nicole Kidman about it, and I was like, ‘Oh, I’ve guess I got to be careful of what I say.’ But yeah I haven’t heard any word officially,” Adams said at the Vice press junket.
News of Amy Adams potentially returning to the Lois Lane role follows recent comments from Jason Momoa stating Henry Cavill is also not done with Superman or leaving the role.
“I just talked to Henry… He’s absolutely not [leaving Superman],” Momoa told ET Online at the recent Aquaman premiere. “He loves the character. He’s not. One hundred percent.”
The article goes on to say that Momoa insisted that Cavill is not leaving, “It’s absolutely [not going to happen].”
There has been talk of a soft reboot for Superman in the DCEU, as it has been rumored there has been contention between Henry Cavill and Warner Bros. over new contract signings, but perhaps everything has been worked out.
A big indicator if things have been smoothed out is if Cavill has a cameo in the upcoming Shazam! movie which gets released in April.
It has been rumored the soft reboot will come with a new DCEU Supergirl film.
