Angelina Jolie Confirms Maleficient 3 And Blasts Hollywood

Angelina Jolie will be back for Disney’s Maleficient 3, and at the same time, the actress has a few choice words to say about Hollywood.

The first two movies have brought in over $1.2 billion and follow Jolie as the titular character, a vengeful fairy out for revenge.

In an interview with the WSJ, the site confirms that Angelina Jolie is officially signed on to return for the live-action third film in the franchise.

What does Angelina Jolie say about Hollywood?

Regarding what she says about Hollywood, she says Hollywood is not a healthy place and that she plans on moving.

“I wouldn’t be an actress today,” Jolie said. “When I was starting out, it wasn’t as much of an expectation to be as public, to share so much
Because I grew up around Hollywood, I was never very impressed with it. I never bought into it as significant or important.”

Regarding moving, she says she plans on leaving L.A. and relocating to her home in Cambodia.

“It’s part of what happened after my divorce,” Jolie added. “I lost the ability to live and travel as freely. I will move when I can. I grew up in quite a shallow place. Of all the places in the world, Hollywood is not a healthy place. So you seek authenticity.”

While she is returning for Maleficient 3, she also says she will probably do theater but not Hollywood so it sounds like she won’t be doing too many movies.

No details for Maleficient 3 are known and the flick doesn’t have a release date.

The sequel released in 2019 follows the character as she travels to a grand old castle to celebrate young Aurora’s upcoming wedding to Prince Phillip. While there, she meets Aurora’s future mother-in-law — a conniving queen who hatches a devious plot to destroy the land’s fairies. Hoping to stop her, Maleficent joins forces with a seasoned warrior and a group of outcasts to battle the queen and her powerful army.

Angelina Jolie could also return in Eternals 2 for Marvel if that ever happens as some rumors claim it’s in early development.
