American Horror Story Season 6 Title & Trailer Revealed

American Horror Story Season 6 Title & Trailer Revealed

Last night saw the debut of American Horror Story Season 6 revealing the theme of the series. Warning: Spoilers follow.

FX previously released a batch of teasers meant to throw viewers off, with only one of them being the actual teaser. Now we have an inkling as to what’s going on as the season is titled “My Roanoke Nightmare.” Yesterday’s episode was told resembling a true crime story, with a set of actors retelling the story, while different actors portrayed what happened in the past. While the episode didn’t reveal much, the title offers it’s based on the true events that saw the North Carolina colony of Roanoke disappear without a trace.

Eagled-eyed American Horror Story fans may have also realized there was a reference to Roanoke in AHS Season 1 when the medium Billie Dean Howard told the story of the American colony of Roanoke disappearing in 1590 with all 117 people meeting their deaths, and their spirits lingering and haunting the Native population nearby.

Now check out a teaser for the rest of American Horror Story Season 6 which includes more of Kathy Bates.

“American Horror Story: My Roanoke Nightmare” airs Tuesdays at 10pm ET on FX.
