Emilia Clarke, who is now the most powerful character in the MCU, is rumored for a Marvel return in a big way.
Last we saw of her character, the Skrull G’iah, she was wiping the floor with Gravik in the Disney+ Secret Invasion series.
G’iah shapeshifted and pretended to be Nick Fury and tricked Gravik, another Skrull who can also shapeshift – but for some reason who didn’t expect it – and then G’iah acquired the powers of all the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and every MCU hero that was at the battle during Avengers: Endgame (something like that).
According to the MyTimeToShineHello Twitter account, who has been dropping mad scoops, Emilia Clarke is now set to return to the MCU as part of a team of British superheroes.
“Are you excited to see more from G’iah, Marvel’s most powerful hero?” teases the account.
The account adds, “She’ll be back sooner than you think. Getting to lead her own group of British based superheroes.”

Which Marvel British superhero team?
Excalibur?
The first Marvel British superhero team that comes to mind happens to be Excalibur, so maybe instead of the rumored Henry Cavill as Captain Britain (who would ever want that, right?), Kevin Feige will go with Emilia Clarke as the Skrull, G’iah, leading the team.
What’s kind of odd is that since G’iah is a Skrull she really isn’t British, but I suppose since the actress is, it doesn’t really matter (I guess).
The Union?
Another possible Marvel British superhero team could be The Union.
The Union debuted recently as part of the King of Black Marvel Comics event but was first meant to be a part of the Empyre event from the comics.
The Empyre event deals with the incoming invasion of the Kree/Skrull armada being led by Hulkling, so we see there is a Skrull connection.
Perhaps Kevin Feige has plans to adapt the recent Marvel Comics, as it’s thought a lot of them have been used as testing grounds for the MCU.
Excalibur is more attached to the X-Men, so perhaps if Feige ever uses Excalibur he’ll save them for ties to his MCU mutant plans.
Hayley Atwell back as Captain Carter?
We can also guess that since Hayley Atwell plays Captain Carter in the Multiverse, maybe Avengers: Secret Wars will bring in Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter, a different Variant than the one surprisingly killed off in Doctor Strange 2. If so, again that probably means Captain Britain is out.

Maybe down the road, we’ll also see Emilia Clarke’s G’iah versus either Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel or Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch — everybody loves a girl fight!
