Happy 27th birthday to Zendaya from Tom Holland who wishes his girlfriend a happy birthday on social media.
The Spider-Man actor posted an image of Zendaya out snorkeling where she gives a thumbs up.
“My birthday girl,” wrote Holland on his Instagram Story along with a smiley face with heart-eyes emoji.
The pair starred together in three Spider-Man movies at Sony and Marvel Studios and have been dating since 2021.
Zendaya wants to play a villain
While Zendaya played MJ in those films she recently said she wouldn’t mind tackling a villain role
“I would love to play a villain of sorts,” she told Elle when asked what she wants to play in the future. “Tap into the evil, supervillain vibes. Whatever that manifests in, I don’t think necessarily in a superhero sense, I just mean in like an emotional sense.”
She added, “I feel like I usually play the good guy, so I’d like to play the bad guy.”
Spider-Man 4 is happening
Regarding the possibility of a Spider-Man 4 set in the MCU, it’s said to be happening but nothing official has been announced as of yet.
“You bet,” Tom Rothman, Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Motion Picture Group, confirmed last December. “When you can expect it, I don’t know. Serve no wine before it’s time.”
Head of Marvel, Kevin Feige, also confirmed Spider-Man 4.
“All I will say is that we have the story. We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now,” said Feige in February.
Back in June, Tom Holland also said Spider-Man 4 is looking pretty good as the actor teased “some stuff going on” that he’s “excited about.”
“Whether or not it’ll come to fruition, who knows?” Holland filled in Inverse. “But right now it’s looking pretty good, and we’ll just have to wait and see.”
It’s probably safe to assume that if Tom Holland is back for Spider-Man 4 that Zendaya will also return as MJ.
Zendaya is also starring in HBO’s Euphoria, the upcoming Challengers movie next year, and stars in Dune: Part Two which recently got its release date delayed to 2024 due to the ongoing actors and writers strike.
