Last month saw Robert Pattinson reveal that he isn’t working out for The Batman, but WB PR must have gotten to the actor as now his workout routine and diet have been revealed.

The latest issue of Healthy For Men magazine reveals how Robert Pattinson is “training” for the role as DC’s new Dark Knight:

  • Cut down on alcohol, processed meats, and fried foods.
  • Boxing and “military-style sandbag routines on the beach”
  • Run 5-10km (3-6 miles) three to four times per week
  • For abs, he begins with a regular five-minute cardio workout
  • Followed by bicycle crunches, dumbbell side bends, double crunches, and the Superman exercise, with three sets of 25 reps per move

Will the new Batman be a wimp?

Regarding what Robert Pattinson recently said about not working out, he told GQ he isn’t going to work out even though Warner Bros. left him with instructions to do so.

Recent images from April of Robert Pattinson spotted out in the wild seem to corroborate Pattinson not really putting in the time to hit the weights as he looks pretty much normal:

However, it’s being claimed that Robert Pattinson was “trolling” GQ about his comments about not working out, but again, the above images from April seem to indicate that Pattinson will just be a normal-sized “average Joe” as Bruce Wayne (set images and video even seemingly reveal Bruce Wayne getting beaten up by thugs) for The Batman.

The Healthy For Men article did see Robert Pattinson touch upon the physical aspects of the role with mention of the Marvel actors:

“You look at the true warriors of the superhero genre — Hemsworth, The Rock, Downey Jr., Evans — and wonder if you’re putting yourself in the wrong place,” Pattinson told Healthy For Men. He added that he spoke to a few of those aforementioned actors about nervousness in taking on such a physically challenging role as that of a superhero.

“It’s all about pushing boundaries and building up to a point where you know you can do justice to the physicality required. And past that, so much of it is letting the special effects and on-screen exchanges produce the real magic. Overall, it’s just very exciting.”

The Batman has a new release date of Oct 1, 2021, with filming to possibly restart in July.

The movie may also be promoted as part of the upcoming DC FanDome virtual con that will feature the Snyder Cut, Wonder Woman 1984 and more.

The Batman also stars Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.
