With Andy Muschietti’s IT: Chapter Two coming out next week, the director has been doing promotion which has led to talks of the DC The Flash movie.
Andy Muschietti confirms that he will be directing The Flash next and offers it’s a beautiful human story.
“An element of horror? I don’t think so. What captivated me about the Flash is the human drama in it,” Muschietti replied to questioning if it will be similar to his IT movies. “The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama [of it]. It’s going to be fun, too. I can’t promise that there will be any horror [elements in it], really, but it’s a beautiful human story.”
The Flash movie getting underway soon
Not much is known about The Flash movie, but Muschietti offering that he can’t promise if there will be any horror elements in it also seems to substantiate that the flick won’t be adapting Flashpoint, which was a pretty dark story in the comics and one that Zack Snyder was in part going to adapt.
Muschietti also confirming that it is going to be fun lines up with previous comparisons of The Flash movie to the Back to the Future films. Maybe it will be somewhere in between?
Recently also saw Ezra Miller confirm that he will be returning for the role and that filming will take place after Fantastic Beasts 3.
