The Kitchen Rotten Tomatoes Score Is In

I actually forgot this movie was coming out this week, which judging by The Kitchen‘s Rotten Tomatoes score is no surprise.

The Rotten Tomatoes score for The Kitchen is presently at a dismal 19%, with 83 reviews accounted for.

While not really a DC movie, The Kitchen comic is from DC’s Vertigo comic book line, which oddly enough was recently shut down.

The flick is billed as a gritty, female-driven mob drama.

Watch the final trailer below.

The Kitchen gets released August 9 directed by Andrea Berloff and stars Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, and Elisabeth Moss as three 1978 Hell’s Kitchen housewives whose mobster husbands are sent to prison by the FBI. Left with little but a sharp ax to grind, the ladies take the Irish mafia’s matters into their own hands—proving unexpectedly adept at everything from running the rackets to taking out the competition…literally.

The film also stars Domhnall Gleeson, James Badge Dale, Brian d’Arcy James, with Margo Martindale, Common, and Bill Camp; as well as Jeremy Bobb, E.J. Bonilla, Wayne Duvall, Annabella Sciorra, and Myk Watford.
