In a recent interview, Aquaman and The Conjuring director James Wan made it known that he thought the idea of doing a horror version of Batman would be pretty cool, but he never said he wanted to direct the Dark Knight.
Some of the clickbait sites ran with it, and there is now even a rumor that Wan wanted to direct The Batman, but it’s not true.
James Wan took to Twitter to respond to a fan with mention it was all just hypothetical talk.
“No, I don’t. It was a hypothetical answer to a hypothetical question. Thank you,” James Wan tweeted.
