Following it learned that Marvel’s Daredevil has been canceled on Netflix and will not get a Season 4, the series is now trending on Twitter.
According to the United States Twitter trends, there have been 23.9k tweets about Daredevil, with the news having first dropped about an hour ago.
Fans are upset to say the least.
Our own social networks and Facebook page and movie, comic and tv FB group are flooded with fan comments and thoughts.
Some fans seem to think that the Marvel Netflix shows are moving to the Disney+ app, however, it is brought up that the app will not feature any R-rated or mature content. It’s also known that Marvel Studios is developing their own TV series for the app, which is separate and not a part of Marvel TV.
Another fan says that the Marvel Netflix shows could have been the highest rated shows on the streaming service, but still would have been canceled, which suggests there is more going on than meets the eye.
As I noted earlier, Netflix probably canceled Marvel on its network as a result of Disney launching their own streaming service next year. It’s also known that the December 25 release of The Avengers: Infinity War is the last Marvel movie on Netflix, as starting with Captain Marvel, the MCU films will now be exclusive to the Disney+ streaming network.
The official statement from Netflix did say there is a future for Daredevil at Marvel, but that remains to be seen.
Check out Twitter reactions to the news:
At least Daredevil went out with 3 really well done seasons.

Netflix should have cancelled Daredevil AFTER cancelling all other Defenders shows. We know Disney is making a move into streaming, but Jessica Jones surviving despite that crap of a second season while Daredevil getting shoved just feels wrong.

And stop saying “Oh It’s not that bad Daredevil might be on Disney’s streaming platform!” I don’t want to see f–king DAREDEVIL on Disney’s watered down streaming platform

Yeah, I get it. Disney streaming this and that… but seriously, f–k. This cancellation doesn’t mean anything and my love for #Daredevil will never fade or change. I just didn’t see this coming, tbh. pic.twitter.com/P5VedUEiUA

Daredevil season 3 is among the best live-action content that Marvel has EVER produced, including MCU movies. Netflix better hope I don’t catch them in public pic.twitter.com/cELuImKQf5

Guys, I know we’re all still processing this news. I’m numb. I’m sad. I’m shocked. I’m heartbroken, but we’re all in this together. I’m so thankful for each and every one of you! We’re gonna keep loving the show and supporting the cast and each other! #SaveDaredevil #Daredevil

f–k. Disney. Marvel Netflix, particularly Daredevil and Jessica Jones, is the highlight of the MCU. The pilot episode of Daredevil is better than the entire MCU filmography. This sh-t is consistently great yet it’s cancelled? For what? This Disney streaming sh-t?? f–k you

I said it after Luke Cage was canceled and I’ll say it again. The Netflix marvel era is over. They’ll air Jessica Jones s3 and Punisher s2 and end those too. #Daredevil
