M. Night Shyamalan Starts Shooting “Glass”

M. Night Shyamalan Filming Glass.

Following Anya Taylor-Joy teasing the script, now director M. Night Shyamalan takes to Twitter to announce filming on the sequel to Split and Unbreakable has began with Glass.

“Day 1: Seventeen years in the making,” M. Night Shyamalan tweeted, which refers to the seventeen years since he created Unbreakable that came out in the year 2000.

Glass is described as M. Night Shyamalan bringing together the narratives of two of his standout originals—2000’s Unbreakable and last year’s Split—in one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller.

Anya Taylor-Joy also recently took to Instagram to offer up a quote from Pamela Hansford Johnson.

From Unbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast. Spencer Treat Clark is also back as Joseph Dunn, and Charlayne Woodard returns as Elijah’s Mother from Unbreakable.

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

Glass has a January 18, 2019 release written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, and produced by Shyamalan, Jason Blum, Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, with Steven Schneider serving as executive producer.
