Inhumans Might Be Cancelled Already

Is that all she wrote for Marvel’s Inhumans?

Marvel’s Inhumans debuted early this month in IMAX theaters and wasn’t that well received. It presently has a Marvel-low of 7% on Rotten Tomatoes, with only 15 reviews submitted. In addition, around 60-70% of audiences stated they liked it, which is extremely low for a Marvel product.

Now it’s suggested that Marvel’s Inhumans may actually be cancelled and not get a second season.

Update: Just to clarify, the poster below is the same that ABC and Marvel have been using to promote the series, so it’s not new.

Original story continues:

I’m not sure if there was supposed to be a second season for Marvel’s Inhumans in the first place, but as this is television, you have to think Marvel TV and ABC want Inhumans to be a success so they can have additional seasons, otherwise why even bother in the first place?

Regarding why it’s thought Marvel’s Inhumans may not be getting a Season 2, Marvel TV and ABC are currently promoting the IMAX episodes and the episodes that debut September 29th as the “complete series.” Here is a promo image from the Inhumans Facebook page:

inhumans complete series

If Inhumans is not just a one-and-done, it does seem odd they are referring to Inhumans as the “complete series” and not the “complete season.”

I would also be surprised that they made the decision to kill off Inhumans prior to airing on TV, unless ABC simply thinks it’s just that bad.

I’ll also add this has to be looked at as a colossal failure on the part of Marvel TV and Jeph Loeb as they partnered with IMAX in an attempt to capture what Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios have done with the MCU movies, but Marvel TV fell flat on its face. Again.
