Last night saw Ben Affleck announce that he won't be directing the new Batman movie, though Affleck is still staying on as producer and star.
With Ben Affleck out, how about Kevin Smith as the new director of Batman?
Well, it's not going to happen as Kevin Smith took to Twitter to offer up why he won't direct Batman.
"I'm flattered. But 3 things make me directing Batman impossible: 1) Haven't spoken to Ben in years. 2) I made @YogaHosers, 3) Common sense," Smith tweeted.
While Kevin Smith seemingly jokes he isn't up to the task to direct Batman because of Yoga Hosers, Smith's episodes of the CW DC shows that he directed are some of the best, so it's too bad he won't even considerate it.
It is reported Ben Affleck and WB are eyeing up Matt Reeves of War for the Planet of the Apes to direct Batman with other big names said to be contenders.
Ben Affleck will next bee seen in Zack Snyder's Justice League, out November 17, 2017.
