Robert Downey Jr. Can Still Do Iron Man 4

It will be inevitable that one day Marvel will have to replace Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man or Chris Evans as Captain America.

Marvel Studios President and Produced Kevin Feige recently talked about the subject with the Toronto Sun.

“I think it could be either one,” Kevin Feige said regarding using a different character played by a younger actor for the role or even rebooting the character completely. “These characters have been around for 50-plus years, and have been relatively ageless. Sometimes there are alternate stories where the character is younger than they usually are, or older, but they usually maintain a certain age. I think most of these characters that are iconic, like (James) Bond, like Batman, like Spider-Man, like Iron Man, someday will be portrayed by different actors.”

The good news regarding replacing Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man or any other Avengers character is that it isn’t happening any time soon.

“The good news right now is I don’t have to think about that for a long time,” Feige said, which hints that the Marvel actors will be around for quite a while. “We have story-lines for this cast for many years to come.”

Maybe it even means we’ll get an Iron Man 4? Honestly, Marvel not making an Iron Man 4 is like DC not doing more Batman movies. Get it, Disney?
