The Mandalorian & Grogu Gets IMAX Featurette As Tickets Go On Sale

Following Disney’s CinemaCon presentation and release of the new trailer, IMAX has now released a new featurette and poster for The Mandalorian & Grogu to help sell the big-screen experience.

IMAX shared on social media, “Grogu personally expanded the screen for you, so you must watch Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu in IMAX,” while the video description tells fans to get tickets now to experience the movie in IMAX on May 22 and notes it is “Filmed For IMAX.”

Disney debuted the final trailer for the movie at CinemaCon on Thursday, April 16, and StarWars.com confirmed that advance tickets are now on sale. The push from IMAX gives Lucasfilm another way to keep momentum going as the movie heads toward its theatrical release.

The new IMAX featurette spotlights director Jon Favreau along with stars Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, putting the focus on why Lucasfilm wants this one seen on the biggest screen possible.

It also continues the same message from the final trailer rollout, which sold the movie as Din Djarin and Grogu’s first theatrical adventure while teasing a larger mission tied to the New Republic and the remaining Imperial threat spread across the galaxy.
