For fans that may have been disappointed by the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (raises hand), worry not as Star Wars: Episode VIII looks to feature Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker in more of a positive light.
MTV caught up with Daisy Ridley at the Oscars who offered Star Wars: Episode VIII begins immediately following where The Force Awakens left off, that “it’s such a good story,” and that “Luke is so cool in this one.”

“Star Wars: Episode VIII” has a December 16, 2017 release directed by Rian Johnson starring Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran.
