At the My Cup O’Joe Panel at this past weekend’s New Yor Comic Con, Marvel announced a new Avengers series with Avengers Assemble by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley.
Here is what Tom Brevoort had to say:
“Comes out in March, written by Brian Bendis, drawn by the wonderful Mark Bagley. It’s basically going to be a sort of best of the Avengers. We are going to assemble teams of stories for specific missions. We are gonna <inaudible> characters that you see in the films. Brian’s got a big exciting crazy story featuring a new incarnation of Zodiac to kick it off for the first five issue tour. It’s Brian and Mark working together hand in hand, glove in glove, the way they are so comfortable with doing. It’s set in the real main Marvel Universe so it’s part of the larger Bendis-Avengers continuity, and it’s cool launch coming in to March and just in time for the film.”
