Fox Studios has closed a deal to acquire the movie rights to Flash Gordon, according to THR.
John Davis is producing along with George Nolfi, who also wrote a treatment; Star Trek 3 writers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay are writing the script for the new Flash Gordon as well.
Flash Gordon appeared on the big screen in 1980 starring Sam Jones, Melody Anderson, Max von Sydow, Timothy Dalton, Ornella Muti and Brian Blessed with a popular soundtrack by Queen..
