Masters of the Universe Tickets On Sale With Early ScreenX Screenings, New Posters, Featurette

Masters of the Universe tickets are now on sale, with Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Studios ramping up the final push for He-Man’s return to the big screen.

The live-action movie opens wide Friday, June 5, with Thursday previews on June 4.

Fans also have a chance to see the movie early on Wednesday, June 3, including select early access ScreenX screenings.

New posters, a new TV spot, a new featurette, and theater collectibles have also been released as the marketing campaign kicks into high gear.

He-Man Returns To The Big Screen

In Masters of the Universe, director Travis Knight brings the classic Mattel franchise back as a live-action fantasy adventure.

The story follows Prince Adam, played by Nicholas Galitzine, after he has been separated from Eternia for 15 years. The Sword of Power leads him back home, where he finds Eternia under the rule of Skeletor, played by Jared Leto.

To save his family and his world, Adam teams with Teela, played by Camila Mendes, and Duncan/Man-At-Arms, played by Idris Elba. From there, Adam must embrace his destiny as He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe.

Early Access And Thursday Previews

The early access screenings give fans a chance to see Masters of the Universe two days before the wide release.

Select theaters are offering the Wednesday, June 3 event, with ScreenX also part of the rollout. Thursday previews then follow on June 4 before the movie opens nationwide Friday, June 5.

The movie is rated PG-13 and runs 2 hours and 13 minutes, according to Fandango.

New Posters, Spot, And Featurette Released

Amazon MGM has also released new promotional material for the movie, including fresh posters, a new spot, and a new featurette.

The featurette gives fans a closer look at He-Man, Eternia, and the movie’s attempt to bring the long-running toy and animated franchise into a modern live-action blockbuster. Amazon’s official info lists the film as a theatrical release from Amazon MGM Studios in the U.S., with the movie arriving June 5.

The marketing has leaned into the scale of Eternia, the Sword of Power, and the clash between He-Man and Skeletor, while also highlighting the ensemble cast.

Theater Collectibles Also Revealed

The theater rollout also includes collectible containers and drink items tied to the movie.

Cinemark has shown off Masters of the Universe collectibles including a popcorn bucket, collectible tumblers, a Sword of Power drink container, and plush items.

Fandango is also offering a Power Pint Bundle tied to Dolby Cinema, which includes a movie ticket and collectible pint glasses.

For a franchise built on toys, collectibles, and nostalgia, the theater merch push makes sense. Masters of the Universe has always had a strong collector base, and the new movie is clearly trying to tap into longtime fans along with a new audience.

Cast And Creative Team

Masters of the Universe is directed by Travis Knight.

The film is produced by Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Robbie Brenner, Steve Tisch, and DeVon Franklin. The screenplay is by Chris Butler and Aaron Nee & Adam Nee & Dave Callaham.

The cast includes Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Charlotte Riley, Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto, Jared Leto as Skeletor, and Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-At-Arms.

Ynon Kreiz, Bill Bannerman, and David Bloomfield executive produce.

Masters Of The Universe Opens June 5

Masters of the Universe arrives in theaters Friday, June 5.

With tickets now on sale, early access screenings locked in, new posters out, and collectibles hitting theaters, Amazon MGM is giving He-Man fans plenty to watch before the movie opens.

The question now is whether the new live-action take can finally give Masters of the Universe the big-screen comeback fans have been waiting for.
