It’s expected that the new Zack Snyder-directed Man of Steel movie will do well enough to warrant a sequel as well as a Justice League movie and spinoff films for the characters involved.

Now, a new report surfaces discussing the possibilities with mention of more Man of Steel movies as well as a Superman/Batman film, Wonder Woman and Aquaman.

A source close to WB told TheWrap:

If [Man of Steel] does well, Warner Bros. can do Justice League including Superman, Superman vs. Batman and another Superman. It opens up at least three different fronts of potential sequels with great synergy for the company in theme parks, licensing and all that.

It’s also reported that it’s unofficially confirmed by Warner Bros. that a Justice League movie is in development, with two preceding Man of Steel films, and that the studio wants Zack Snyder to direct, with potential movies for Wonder Woman and Aquaman as well.

That includes kicking the tires on films for Wonder Woman and Aquaman. Warner Bros.’ plan would be to release two “Man of Steel” films before moving on to the “Justice League,” a project everyone at Warner Bros. unofficially acknowledges is being developed.

There has been no real mention of Aquaman in quite some time, but David Goyer has recently stated on numerous occasions he would like to do a Wonder Woman film.

The DC shared movie universe doesn’t seem to be without its hiccups as it’s stated the relationship between WB and current movie president Jeff Robinov as well as Legendary Entertainment may be on the rocks.

However, it’s noted that the previous co-financier of the defunct 2008 George Miller Justice League movie, Village Roadshow, will come on board to help out with the new JL movies.
