Pacific Rim Anime Trailer Returns To Epic Battle

Netflix has released a second trailer for the new Pacific Rim: The Black anime series coming to the streaming service next month.

Returning to the epic battle of Kaiju and Jaegers, this original anime series will expand upon the story of the first two live-action movies and follow two siblings – an idealistic teenage boy and his naïve younger sister – who are forced to pilot an abandoned Jaeger across a hostile landscape in a desperate attempt to find their missing parents.

Get an exclusive new look at the second official trailer for Netflix’s upcoming anime series Pacific Rim: The Black, based on Legendary Entertainment and Guillermo del Toro’s blockbuster film franchise Pacific Rim.

The new Pacific Rim TV series is animated by Polygon Pictures, the company behind the Netflix anime series Levius, the Ajin: Demi-Human series, and the Godzilla Netflix original anime movie trilogy.

Here’s the plot summary for Pacific Rim: The Black: “There was a time when Kaiju rose from the Pacific Rim only to encounter gigantic robots, Jaegers, built to fight them back. That time has passed. Now, Australia has been overrun by Kaiju, forcing the evacuation of an entire continent. Left behind, teenage siblings Taylor and Hayley embark on a desperate search for their missing parents, teaching themselves to pilot a battered, long-abandoned Jaeger to help in their quest and give them even the slightest hope of surviving.”

Pacific Rim: The Black has set a March 4 release date on Netflix worldwide.
